The Stem Cells Transplant Institute, in Costa Rica, provides government approved stem cell therapy to patients looking for alternative treatment options.

The physicians at the Stem Cells Transplant Institute are board certified by the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine and members of the International Society for Stem Cell Application.

Stem cell therapy is not covered by most insurance carriers.
Unless you are currently living in Costa Rica, stem cell therapy at the Stem Cells Transplant Institute will require you to travel outside your home country and will require a passport.
Stem cell therapy using adult mesenchymal stem cells is not FDA approved and is not considered standard of care outside of certain cancers and rare blood disorders.
Stem cell therapy is in the early stages of development. A retrospective observational study published in Lancet Haematology in 2012 showed well over 1 million patients had undergone stem cell therapy involving the use of adult stem cells.
According to the US National Library of Health there are over 3,300 interventional studies evaluating adult stem cell treatment for many different diseases and conditions.
Although clinical trials have so far found stem cell therapy to be safe, there could be unknown risks associated with adult stem cell therapy.
There are no results from long-term, large scale, prospective clinical trials evaluating the safety and efficacy of stem cell therapy in any diseases and there is no guarantee of safety or efficacy.
The testimonials provided by patients on our website are real but may not typical.
You are not participating in a clinical trial.
You will need to provide requested laboratory and medical records which may include ultrasound, MRI, x-rays or additional test results.

Fees for services start at:

$12,500 USD for adult mesenchymal stem cells cultured and expanded from human umbilical cord tissue
$29,700 USD for APT for neurodegenerative conditions

Cancellation Policy

Appointment Cancellation Policy Agreement

Stem Cells Transplant Institute is committed to providing exceptional care. Unfortunately, when one patient cancels, prevents another patient from being Treated.

Our agreement with service providers. prohibits cancellations of already confirmed reservations, this was agreed to provide competitive pricing for our patients. Appointments or services may not be canceled.

If you need to cancel due to an emergency a board-certified physician’s letter stating, you may not fly because of a medical condition must be provided. All other services already booked would be lost. An attempt to work with our vendors/providers to re-schedule or refund, but we cannot guarantee any adjustments.

After physician’s letter is received processed and approved treatment must be scheduled within the next two months.

This allows other patients to be treated in your reserved time slot.

If prior notification is not given, you will lose your entire deposit for the missed appointment.
