Dr. Vargas completed her degree of Doctor in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Costa Rica School of Medicine in 2010. The University of Costa Rica, or Benemérita Institution of Education and Culture, is consistently ranked as one of the best universities in Central America.
Dr. Vargas is a member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Costa Rica.
From a young age, Dr. Vargas has shown an interest in local and global social issues. She spent her final year of high school at Monticello High School in Minnesota, where she was able to expand her passion and knowledge about social issues with more than 80 other students from 25 different countries. It was this experience that guided her comprehensive approach to medicine and drove her desire to help patients.
For more than 7 years, Dr. Vargas worked as Coordinator of EBAIS in the sector of Escazú, San José, providing services of the Caja Costarricense del Seguro Social, a division of the government funded healthcare system. Her time at EBAIS gave her extensive knowledge and experience in the field of traditional medicine.
Dr. Vargas is considered and expert in the field of general medicine and has been asked to lead numerous courses on topics including: cardiac support, electrocardiography, ophthalmology, first aid, hemostasis and thrombosis, update in pediatrics and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Her background and knowledge of traditional medicine has motivated her to work in the field of Regenerative Medicine where she can help patients gain access to effective, life changing treatments that are not currently available in traditional medicine.
