New data published by researchers from Kings College London shows up to up to half of men under 50 suffer from erectile dysfunction which is more than double the rate of impotence just 25 years ago.
The team of researchers evaluated data from more than a dozen studies around the world, that included tens of thousands of participants ranging in age from late teens to adults in their 80s.
The data from the combined studies showed that up to 50 percent of men under the age of 50 while one study conducted in Brazil found the condition occurred in almost 36 percent of men between the ages of 18 and 25, and almost 31 percent of men between the ages of 26 and 40.
Researchers estimate by the year 2025, more than 322 million men will be affected by erectile dysfunction.

Stem cells are a type of undifferentiated cell that have the ability to differentiate, or change, into specific and specialized cell types.
Stem cells can be guided into becoming a specific type of cell allowing physicians trained in the field of regenerative medicine to use stem cells to repair diseased or damage tissue.
Stem cells are attracted to the site of injury and then change into the type of cell that is needed to repair or heal the damaged tissue.
Because erectile dysfunction can be a symptom of a more serious underlying condition, it is important to see a healthcare professional for a thorough health evaluation.
